Urban design project at Department of City Planning for 7 million square feet of development, including 5,000 units of housing adjacent to 10 acres of open space. Masterplanned from 2006 – 2007, collaborating with lead consultants Fx Fowle, Department of City Planning in Brooklyn, and other city agencies. Massing analyzed in respect to Long Island City and waterfront Brooklyn skylines, as well as pedestrian experience, view corridors, and sitelines from towers and streets. Parking is embedded in the base and wrapped with retail or other street level program.
